On the morning of 12/29, a symposium and on-site observation event for surveying the construction standards of smart security in primary, secondary, and kindergarten schools was successfully held in our city. As a core demonstration site, Zouping No. 2 Middle School showcased its comprehensive and intelligent security practices to education officials from 16 provinces (autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government), as well as experts and technical representatives in campus safety. The high-quality live demonstration received widespread acclaim.
The event was attended by Vice Director You Sen of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education; Wang Zhigang, Chief Inspector of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education; Qu Yuekuan, Standing Committee Member and Vice Mayor of Binzhou Municipal Party Committee; Yu Yan, Party Secretary and Director of the Binzhou Municipal Education Bureau; Chen Jing, Standing Committee Member and Vice Mayor of Zouping Municipal Party Committee; Song Mingke, Party Secretary and Director of the Zouping Municipal Education and Sports Bureau; Niu Chuanyong, Party Secretary of Zouping No. 2 High School; and other leaders.
This event is organized by the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education to thoroughly implement President Xi's important instructions on campus safety. It includes research and discussions based on the "Smart Security Construction Standards for Primary and Secondary Schools and Kindergartens (Draft for Comments)" to build an intelligent campus security system. As a Shandong Provincial Artificial Intelligence Science Popularization Demonstration Base and a featured high school, Zouping No. 2 High School has become a core venue for this event due to its pioneering practical achievements.
A delegation comprising You Sen, Deputy Director of the Department of Basic Education at the Ministry of Education; representatives from relevant divisions of the Ministry of Public Security; and officials from education departments across all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities visited Zouping No. 2 Middle School to inspect its smart security infrastructure. Guided by a presenter, the team toured key areas including the main gate, academic buildings, cafeteria, dormitories, and sports field, and experienced the intelligent warning and response processes for 32 critical security scenarios on-site.
From securing school gates against unauthorized access and crowd gathering, to detecting bullying and monitoring mental health anomalies in academic zones, ensuring canteen hygiene and fire lane accessibility in logistics support, and preventing wall climbing or e-bike entry into buildings across all scenarios—the system integrates video surveillance with intelligent algorithms to establish a closed-loop management cycle of "monitoring, alerting, response, and feedback."
Zouping No. 2 Middle School's all-day, full-coverage smart security system, built on a "One Map, Two Networks" top-level design, offers a valuable practice model for smart security in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens nationwide. Its approach to phased construction and scenario-based application aligns closely with the core requirements of the "Smart Security Construction Standards for Primary and Secondary Schools and Kindergartens (Draft for Comments)."
During the event, key leaders also inspected the school's party building work and learned about its "Red Heart, Rooted in Education, Diligent Nurturing" party brand. They toured the Shandong Province History Discipline Base, which serves as a representative of the school's 6 municipal-level or higher discipline bases, equipped with high-standard teaching facilities and rich curriculum resources. They visited the School Mental Health Education Center to assess students' mental health status and protective measures. Finally, they observed dining arrangements for teachers and students; as a Shandong Province Nutrition and Health School, the institution is fully committed to meeting the dietary needs of all staff and students.
Zouping No. 2 Middle School will leverage the success of this event to further integrate smart security with teaching and learning. We will continuously expand security scenarios, optimize intelligent algorithms, and strengthen collaborative prevention systems to create a safer, more secure campus environment for students and staff. Our goal is to contribute valuable practical experience to national campus smart security initiatives and become a premier school recognized by students, parents, society, and educators alike.
